pipn: Yeah I tried re-writing a pivotal scene, and it's going much better now. I think I must be improving as a writer (or something, lols), it only took me a few days to work out the problem instead of weeks (or longer :P ) of angst... Jul 28, 2014 21:37:09 GMT -7
Terdin: That's great, Pip. =^.^= I've just about reached the end of the short story, even though it could continue since it's part of a greater series. Time to turn back to my main story. Jul 30, 2014 10:14:29 GMT -7
Terdin: Turning aside for a couple of days worked for me. At least a part of the story got marked out for me to follow. I'll continue working on it during August, but at a slower pace. Jul 31, 2014 23:29:09 GMT -7
Terdin: My pace this far into August has been real slow, but I have managed to put my behind in the chair and get some work done most days. How is it going for the rest of you? Aug 7, 2014 8:31:14 GMT -7
ael: I've written about 6 pages, but that was over a 2 day period. I've not really written much of anything since July 15th, really. I expect this place to be mostly dead till the next NaNo rolls around. Aug 7, 2014 16:53:46 GMT -7
Terdin: Work has started on getting geothermal heating where I live. When they drill into the bedrock outside your windows is not the best of time to be nocturnal and sleep during the day. I have to remind myself that I voted for the idea. Aug 13, 2014 12:38:50 GMT -7
Terdin: Finally had that appointment with the chiropractor that I intended to reward myself with. Phoned him yesterday, so it's no like there was a long wait. I pretty much had to turn my days around first. Aug 20, 2014 3:11:58 GMT -7
Terdin: A post on one of the threads at NaNo got me to dig up the Myers-Briggs test I made a decade ago. According to it, I'm INTP, which is uncommon with just 3% of the population. Have any of you done that test, and if so, what was your result? Aug 30, 2014 2:26:32 GMT -7
pipn: Hello everyone! How goes the writing? I actually haven't don't much writing lately, because I've been trying to do some catch up researh/worldbuilding before editing the story I finished for Camp Nano. Somehow it lead to me looking up manganese...how do Sept 10, 2014 18:52:31 GMT -7
pipn: these things happen? I haven't tried the Meyers-Briggs test, actually... Sept 10, 2014 18:53:00 GMT -7
Terdin: My writing is going okay. The July Camp novel is slowly nearing The End as I'm tying up the last few plotlines. I've taken to type up a handwritten draft of another novel to feel more productive, even if it'll need a complete rewrite later. Sept 13, 2014 16:13:09 GMT -7
Terdin: I hope I can start revising my camp novel and its mess of POV characters before the end of the month. Sept 13, 2014 16:17:02 GMT -7
Meri Greenleaf: Oh thank goodness, I finally figured out the url for this board! I hadn't bookmarked it and the original NaNo forum thread was closed and I couldn't remember its title. Bookmarking it *now* so I don't lose it again. Sept 18, 2014 9:22:31 GMT -7
Meri Greenleaf: I'm so glad to see you guys still working on stuff! I'm on cloud 9 because I finished the 1st draft of my '13 NaNo a few days ago. :D I'm going to go check out the forum now and see what's up. Sept 18, 2014 9:23:21 GMT -7
ael: Good luck with NaNo, folks; I won't be returning to this forum. Oct 3, 2014 18:56:20 GMT -7
Deleted: What's NaNo? Apr 6, 2015 8:23:23 GMT -7
Terdin: NaNo is short for NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. It's for writing a novel with at least 50,000 words in November. There's also Camp NaNo in April and July, where you set your own goal, from 10k to 999k words. May 7, 2015 12:47:23 GMT -7
